Goat Simulator 3, the latest installment in the hit open world adventure sim from Coffee Stain North, has officially released “The Shadiest Update” today for free, alongside a new trailer and patch notes. The update includes a variety of summer-themed gear, a few bug fixes and more.

Today’s trailer is amusing as ever, with an unexpected runway on the beach and a billboard for the game. This could very well be some kind of meta joke about titles that rely on cosmetic-driven updates. Even if it isn’t, these goats have style. The variety of outfits are suitably whacky and inventive.
Most of the cosmetics are actually eyewear though. These include Uniglasses, Shady Shades, Party Shades, Galaxy Glasses, Shutter Shades, and even 3D Glasses.
It’d be nice if there were more cosmetics that completely altered your look, but those that have been included are delightfully strange. The Beach on the Back outfit from the trailer, Goatkini, Sunburnt Skin and Sandy Skin are hilariously upsetting. There are also two full sets to discover:

You can find all of the additions on the official patch notes, which are full of Coffee Stain North’s silly and clever humor. Sadly, The Shadiest Update is relatively light on bug fixes, so larger issues weren’t resolved. But the patch notes do mention these:
Bug Fixes:
• If you have found all trinkets you should now be able to get the achievement for it
• When you enter the Easter Island area a location text will now pop up
XSX specific:
• Fixed an issue that occurred when you traveled to the boss fight in multiplayer, all clients would be kicked out
