God of Rock is an upcoming video game by Modus Games that features a unique blend of rhythm-based gameplay and fighting game mechanics. It is set to be released on April 18, 2023, for Xbox One and Xbox series X|S, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

In God of Rock, players will choose from a dozen of unique fighters, each with their own design, mechanics, and harmonic attacks, to take on intense 1v1 matches. Ahead of its release, Modus Games has been releasing teasers, showcasing the gameplay mechanics of characters. In a new character spotlight trailer, the dashing theater big shot, Champ, has been featured. God of Rock‘s Champ comes with powerful and flashy abilities that can leave opponents starstruck. Champ’s Level 1 special, Dynamite Glam, allows him to unleash a series of special attacks. Meanwhile, Champ’s Level 2 special enables him to take a portion of the opponent’s Super Meter with each successful attack, and his Unbreakable Chains Level 3 special can increase his super meter gain for a while. Champ also has a unique passive ability, The Great Pretender, which buffs up each of his moves and scales with his Super Meter. Each miss, bad or good hit, however, depletes his Super Meter.

When Champ uses his Shooting Star EX move, he gains Perfect or Flawless hits automatically for a while. Use his full Super Meter for a Champion Of The Universe Ultra attack, resetting all buffs and active cooldowns, and granting a brief period of autoplay with extra special attack notes.

With the proper combination of strikes, Champ could be a tremendously powerful character in matches that can lead players to victory and become God of Rock champions.

You may add God of Rock to your PlayStation Store and Steam wishlist to be alerted when it releases.
