The gacha game genre has taken on a new wave of popularity in the last few years, with games like Guardian Tales also mixing in classic RPG mechanics. It seems to have worked for the title, as developer Kakao Games is celebrating the third anniversary since the launch of Guardian Tales with free character summons and a new hero.
There are a range of celebrations happening inside the game, including new interactions with characters in the specially decorated Heavehold Castle. From July 25 to Aug. 7, players will get 10 free Summons a day for a total of 130 Summons. This will allow players to summon a variety of fighters, including the chance to get the new hero: Baby Dokkaebi Eunha.
There is also a special roadmap event happening now that will allow players to obtain the Super Costume Dark Hunter Garam, as well as other heroes, and cosmetics. There will also be unique events held during the celebration on the Guardian Tales social media account with rewards, such as the one with the image of a younger character and lots of diamonds above.
Guardian Tales is a top-down pixel RPG where players will assemble a team of fighters and travel across a wide collection of worlds inspired by gaming history. The game has managed to succeed over the last few years and seeks to continue for as many years as it can. The English Twitter channel alone has over 73,000 followers, so it seems like the game is doing alright for now.
