Launching May 3, 2022, “Lone Wolves,” Season 2 of Halo Infinite will feature several new and returning elements, with some of the most exciting being the game modes. We’ve included what you can expect from these game modes and the changes that have been made to your old favorites.
King of the Hill
The point of King of the Hill is simple–you need to hold the hill for the longest time or for the duration of the time requirement. This mode, however, is a little different from the one that you know.
A neutral hill spawns on the map, and two teams must battle for control of the hill and earn points. When a player enters the hill uncontested, it is captured. After that, they earn 1 point per second into a capture bar. When a team’s capture bar is complete, they score 1 point, and a new hill spawns.
It’s your job to get as many points as possible, contest hills your enemy has captured, or survive being contested.
Land Grab
Land Grab is a combination of claiming territories similar to King of the Hill. At the start of the match, there are three neutral zones around the map. When a player captures a zone, it is locked and gives their team 1 point. The problem, however, is that these areas can’t be contested.
When all zones are captured, three new neutral zones spawn. The first team to score 11 points wins. It’s up to you and your team to be the first to capture as many of these neutral zones as you can before your enemy.
Last Spartan Standing
As the name suggests, the aim of this game is to be the sole survivor, which fits the “Lone Wolves” theme of season 2.
Twelve players will spawn on Big Team Battle maps with a confined loadout, and five respawns in this free-for-all fight. You can upgrade to a different weapon by killing players, and when you run out of respawns, you can no longer participate.
These new and improved game modes will be an exciting addition to Halo Infinite Season 2. Be sure to check out our section on Halo Infinite for more great content.
