Natsume has announced today that Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is set to be released this September as part of the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Harvest Moon franchise.
First revealed in December 2022, Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos promise to provide an immersive open-world experience while staying true to Natsume’s signature casual farming simulation style. The game departs from previous entries in the Harvest Moon franchise by taking players to the peaceful and harmonious land of Anthos. Within this land, the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites protects the inhabitants from natural disasters, including storms, earthquakes, and the like.
The story unfolds ten years after a devastating volcanic eruption threatened life on Anthos. The protagonist stumbles upon an SOS message in a bottle sent by the Harvest Goddess, prompting a mission to resurrect her and the Harvest Sprites, as well as reconnect the various villages across Anthos. With the help of Doc Jr. and a host of other characters, players will be tasked with restoring harmony and reestablishing ties within the land.
Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos features various exciting activities for players to partake in, including 10 contests and festivals. There are also five distinct bachelors and five different bachelorettes for players to connect with and form relationships with each other. The game also allows players to keep unique pets, including wolves and Bengal tigers.
Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is scheduled to launch on September 26, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. A physical copy of the game will also be available for Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X. For its western release, NIS America will be offering a Limited Edition of Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, which contains the following items:
