Sword of a Thousand Truths Decks (Elwynn Boar Deck Lists!)

I think many of us remember the well-known South Park episode that featured World of Warcraft. The boys were pit against that which has no life, and they were only able to defeat him by slaughtering Elwynn Boars… and having access to the Sword of a Thousand Truths. Well, the developers at Blizzard haven’t forgotten either, because in the United in Stormwind expansion, you will be able to add Elwynn Boars to your deck and wield the Sword of a Thousand Truths!

If you want to bring out the Sword of a Thousand Truths then you’re going to have to manage to get seven Elwynn Boars killed in a single-game. This will require you to duplicate the card, and get it slain enough to trigger the Deathrattle. If a boar is silence, it still adds to the count. However, if you are trying to trigger the sword and it gets silenced, then you’ll have to wait for another Boar, because the Deathrattle needs to go off to receive it!

Why would you want to go to all this trouble? Well, it’s fun… Also, the Sword of a Thousand Truths is a 10 Mana, 15 Attack, 3 Durability weapon that reads, “After our hero attacks, destroy your opponent’s Mana Crystals.” Not only can you batter someone badly with the damage, you will also crush their ability to play any cards!

Please keep in mind that these decks aren’t going to be well-tested at the beginning the expansion. This style of play will likely land firmly in the meme category, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have fun trying these lists out!

Expect to see a lot of Northshire Farmer in these lists! That card was pretty much made to give Elwynn Boar a chance to work in these decks.

In the early stages of the meta, it’s not looking good for this type of deck. There’s not a whole lot of data yet, but both versions below have a pretty poor win-rate. This isn’t surprising, and there’s still a chance someone comes up with a deck that will take advantage of the sword!
