IO Interactive just announced the changes coming to HITMAN 3 for this month. The developer revealed that the planned improvements towards how current and new players can experience, access, and buy HITMAN 1, HITMAN 2, and HITMAN 3 would simplify the World of Assassination experience.
According to IO Interactive’s recent announcement, HITMAN 3 will be renamed “HITMAN World of Assassination” and will include access to HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 through the current Access Pass system. Current HITMAN 3 owners will get a free upgrade to HITMAN World of Assassination on all platforms. This is intended to significantly streamline the purchasing process for new players. As such, HITMAN World of Assassination will be the only option available to begin gameplay. These modifications are scheduled to take effect starting January 26th.
Here’s a rundown of all the content included in the standard and deluxe HITMAN – World of Assassination:
- HITMAN – World of Assassination (approx. $70 or local equivalent)
- Includes: HITMAN 3, plus H1 GOTY Access Pass and H2 Standard Access Pass.
- HITMAN – World of Assassination Deluxe Pack (approx. $30 or local equivalent)
- Includes H3 Deluxe Pack, H3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and H2 Expansion Access Pass.
IO Interactive will also implement a “complete the set” feature for the three DLC packs available in the HITMAN World of Assassination Deluxe Pack on Steam (H3 Deluxe Pack, H3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and H2 Expansion Access Pass). This implies that players will only pay an equal share for the content they do not currently own.
Meanwhile, IO Interactive has introduced each DLC from the new WoA Deluxe Pack (H3 Deluxe Pack, H3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and H2 Expansion Access Pass) to the IN-GAME shop, each priced at $10 on other platforms.
For clarity, the standalone HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 items will no longer be available for purchase on any platform. Nevertheless, the majority of the content from previous games is still available in HITMAN World of Assassination, with all of the enhancements added in HITMAN 3.
