The upcoming 6.6 update of Honkai Impact 3rd brings two new battlesuits into the spotlight. Players can look forward to the S-rank Dreamweaver for the World Serpent member Misteln “Hare” Schariac and the SP Terminal Aide 0017 for AI Number 17, a part of Prometheus. HoYoVerse recently released a preview video featuring team members discussing the playable characters and providing a behind-the-scenes look at their development.
The video showcased footage of Misteln and Number 17 and delved into the design inspirations for Misteln’s Honkai Impact 3rd Dreamweaver. Misteln, a type of Schariac stigma crystal, has been a mysterious presence among the World Serpent cadres. Her design takes inspiration from Cecilia, with added softness to make her more approachable. As a stigma crystal, she understands things conceptually, giving her a unique perspective compared to humans.
Influenced by Mamoru Nagano’s works, the design for Misteln’s Dreamweaver battlesuit incorporates retro decorations and tailoring. This sets her apart from previous Valkyries. The design also includes a divine, spiritual totem, reflecting her enigmatic presence. Misteln’s psychic abilities and aristocratic aura make her well-suited as a commander or motherly figure. In battle, she commands Seeds of Ideas and uses a new weapon, a javelin, to engage in combat.
Number 17, the highly advanced AI from Prometheus, shares similarities with Misteln. Both characters display an interest in humanity and its intricacies. Number 17’s Terminal Aide 0017 battlesuit design emphasizes her AI nature, using colors and styles reminiscent of IMG monsters. The design also considers her different aesthetics and incorporates a mix-and-match approach to her outfit.

As a shield-breaker in the team, Number 17’s animations needed to convey a formidable presence. Her combat style is direct and efficient, using high-speed attacks and a range of transforming gauntlets. These gauntlets can serve as cannons, dart shooters, missile launchers, drills, and more, adapting to any form needed in battle.
In the end, both Misteln and Number 17 choose to engage in “things that only humans can do” as a result of their curiosity towards humanity. After her rebirth via transcription, Misteln seeks to witness and promote the growth of others, especially Number 17. This shared desire to understand humanity brings these two intriguing characters closer together in Honkai Impact 3rd’s upcoming 6.6 update.
