miHoYo has revealed the release date for the 1.2 update of its game Honkai: Star Rail, with the update titled “Even Immortality Ends” launching on July 19. Update 1.2 leads to an epic convergence as the story of Xianzhou Luofu reaches a high point. In this update, players, known as Trailblazers, will venture into unexplored realms and welcome three new characters to the crew: Blade, Kafka, and Luka. This fresh release also teases the introduction of several challenging adversaries and engaging events, setting up players for a journey packed with rewards and excitement.
As the characters Dan Heng and the Astral Express Crew reunite, they come across Xianzhou Luofu facing a crisis that endangers the entire Alliance. Players will be put to the test, overcoming various hurdles while exploring two new areas, the Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape. These areas set the stage for crucial battles as the players uncover hidden truths within the Stellaron disaster.
Among the new characters joining the roster is Blade, a Stellaron Hunter with a cryptic past. His unique backstory, including the acquisition of eternal life and consequent healing abilities, will unravel as the narrative progresses. In combat, Blade uses his own HP to enhance his attack power as a five-star Wind-Type character.
Joining Blade is Kafka, another member of the Stellaron Hunters, who was born on Pteruges-V, a planet where fear is an alien concept. As a five-star Lightning-Type character, Kafka excels in inflicting additional damage over time to adversaries. Her skills allow her to deal lightning damage to several targets, with the potential to cause increased damage to enemies already afflicted with Damage over Time.
In addition to Kafka and Blade, Luka will be added to the game’s roster. Introduced during the Summer Game Fest in June 2023, this hero from Belobog will now be recruitable in-game. As a four-star Physical-Type character, Luka brings his strength and optimism to the battlefield, protecting the Underworld inhabitants. His skills enable him to inflict physical damage, with the potential to induce Bleed in enemies.
The 1.2 update also introduces numerous events to enrich the gaming experience. Among these is “Tales of the Fantastic,” featuring Mr. Xiyan, Starskiff Haven’s storyteller interested in the Astral Express’s story. The “Underground Treasure Hunt” is another new event promising a relic-hunting challenge with a themed Chat Box reward. Furthermore, the update adds “The Voyage of Navis Astriger” to the Forgotten Hall, where Trailblazers can unlock the four-star character Yukong upon completion of Stage 1. The Simulated Universe also gets an upgrade, introducing World 7 and previously unseen Ornaments as prizes.
