Developer and publisher Villainous Games Studio has announced that Horror Stories: Harvest Hunt, a single-player stealth survival horror game, is set to enter its early access phase later this month. The announcement was made as part of a new trailer providing a glimpse at the game’s visuals and thrilling gameplay.
The early access launch of Horror Stories: Harvest Hunt is scheduled for July 26th on PC via Steam. During this phase, players will be immersed in the game’s terrifying world while actively contributing to its development. Villainous Games Studio is committed to gathering feedback from the community throughout the early access phase that will be incorporated to the game as future updates.
Horror Stories: Harvest Hunt takes place in the cursed village of Luna Nova, where an ominous shadow, known as the Devourer, looms. The community’s sole hope of survival rests in the hands of the appointed Warden. As players take on the role of the Warden, they will scavenge the cornfields for precious ambrosia to find salvation for themselves and the community. In this game, survival will depend on stealth, strategy, and using handcrafted tools to combat the emerging horrors of each night. Players will also draw cards that may bring otherworldly abilities, good fortune, and modifiers that affect both the environment and the Devourer.
Horror Stories: Harvest Hunt combines the replayability of roguelites with the spine-chilling tension characteristic of the horror genre. With each run lasting around 10 to 15 minutes, players will be able to tailor their deck by choosing tools that counter each night’s randomized challenges. Each night of the hunt promises a unique, terrifying experience that requires strategic execution, a steady heartbeat, and a keen survival instinct.
A demo version of Horror Stories: Harvest Hunt is currently available on Steam for those who wish to try out some of the game’s features.
