In Anime Champions Simulator, the Harmony system is a feature designed to enhance your gameplay experience by encouraging the strategic pairing of units from different factions. To be precise, it rewards players who combine units from the Chaos and Order factions, offering specific damage bonuses based on the combinations used.

How Harmony works in ACS

Each unit in the game comes with a faction symbol that represents its alignment. The Chaos faction carries a red star-like symbol, while the Order faction has a blue circle symbol. Pairing these units in specific combinations activates a Harmony bonus, which provides incremental damage boosts to your team.

Here’s how it works:

  • One Chaos unit plus one Order unit yields a Harmony 1 bonus, granting your team a 20% damage increase.
  • Two Chaos units combined with two Order units activates a Harmony 2 bonus, giving your team an additional 5% damage increase.
  • Three Chaos and three Order units will lead to a Harmony 3 bonus, which is another 5% damage increase.

A critical point to understand is that it’s not just about the quantity of Chaos or Order units you have; the numbers must be balanced to trigger the Harmony bonuses. For instance, having three Chaos units and one Order unit will only give you a Harmony 1 bonus, not Harmony 3.

It’s essential to note that the game developers are currently contemplating the possibility of revising the percentage increases for Harmony 2 and Harmony 3. The reasoning behind this is to provide a more attractive incentive for players to diversify their unit rosters.

Additionally, one current quirk in the system allows for the same unit type from the same faction to count towards Harmony 2. However, this is considered a bug, and the development team plans to address it. The intended function of the Harmony system aims to encourage diversification in team selection rather than using duplicate units.
