Elden Ring is the newest addition to the storied list of games that FromSoftware has released into the world. While it doesn’t follow Dark Souls lore, it forges its own path of brutality in a more open-world setting. While these games are thought of fondly, one common bit about them is how they are a bit difficult to understand. One part that is generally confusing is the multiplayer aspect of the game. Coop Players
In Elden Ring, you can have up to four players join you in coop. You will need a couple of items to make this happen, which are the Tarnished’s Furled Finger and the Furlcalling Finger Remedy. Each time you want to summon or be summoned into a game, a player will need to use one of the consumable Furlcalling Finger Remedy items.
The Tarnished’s Furled Finger can be found at the beginning of the area after you defeat the Soldier of Godrick. You just need to go through the large wooden door, walk past the Site of Grace, and you will find it nearby along with the Finger Severer item.
Furlcalling Finger Remedy are dropped by invading NPC enemies that you can fight at random. You can also purchase them for 1,000 Runes from Merchant Kale or Patches. They are also found throughout the game in various locations. Using this item will allow you to see summon signs that have been left in the world.
When you want to be summoned into a game, you will need to use the Tranished’s Furled Finger, which will place a gold summon sign at your location. The sign will appear in other players’ worlds, which when used in combination with the Furlcalling Finger Remedy, will summon you into their game. You can only have one summon sign active at a time, and if you place a new one the old one will vanish.
Keep in mind that the player who places the golden sign on the ground will be summoned to the other players’ game. Whoever summons the player will be the host party, so if you want someone in particular to host, make sure they do the summoning.
