Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP) are now available for the Nintendo Switch, and with their release comes a variety of interesting challenges and questions for players. While the games are fairly straight-forward, some of the new mechanics and fun aspects of them can be a bit tricky! If you are trying to catch yourself a Gible in this set of games, we’ll show you exactly where you need to go to get one.

Finding Gible in BDSP

To catch Gible in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you will need to be pretty far along in the game. You at the very least need to be able to use the Strength HM, which requires you to be at least to the sixth badge.

Once you have Strength, you can head over to Oreburgh City, which is an early game area where you earned one of your first badges in the game. If you fast travel to this location, head north from the Pokemon Center and up to Route 207.

When you’ve arrived at Route 207, head down the stairs to the right before reaching the tall grass. You will see a mudslide in this area. Equip your bike and swap into mach mode. Travel up the mudslide and continue north to Route 206.

From Route 206, turn right before the large building and over to the two trees that can be cut. Chop one of these trees down with the Cut HM, and continue north up this path.

Keep going up the path until you reach the Hiker NPC. Make a left under the bridge and to the very edge where you will come to some tall grass/bushes. Go to the first bush at the northernmost part of the area, and from there go two blocks to the right (using your D-Pad makes this easier). You can then head up/north and you should enter into the hidden entrance of the Wayward Cave.

Once inside of the cave, you will need to use Strength to move one of the rocks out of the way to get by. Once the middle boulder has been moved forward, head to the left and down the stairs. This is the area where you can run into a Gible. There’s a 15% spawn rate for a Gible, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding one!
