Halo Infinite is the next chapter of the Halo franchise and brings next generation graphics to the series. The game also includes a variety of new features that should please fans new and old. With a new game comes a variety of questions on how to complete certain tasks and use various items in the game. One of these things is the difficulty, which can be surprisingly high in the game. If you’re looking to tone things down or boost it up, we’ll show you how to do it in this guide.

Changing Difficulty

To change the difficulty of your campaign in Halo Infinite, you will need to close out of your game and go to the main menu. Once you arrive at the menu, go to the Load Game option. Select the save with the difficulty you would like to change. All you need to do now is hit the difficulty button and choose which difficulty you would like to have!

You have the option to change the difficulty from Easy, Normal, Heroic, and Legendary. Keep in mind that achievements are earned based on your selection, so you might want to stick it out with a certain difficulty if you’re looking to collect them all.

You can also change the Active Skulls you have on from this menu area. These are hidden objects that are scattered around the levels you will be traversing throughout the campaign. You can add them to a save to differentiate how certain things will interact within the game. Note that if you activate a Skull in your save, you will disable your ability to earn achievements.
