Changing Nickname on Discord Mobile

While you can change your Nickname pretty easily in Discord, changing it in a specific server is where the difficulty will arise. You can’t always change it in certain servers, because it will have to be enabled by the administrators or moderators of that particular server. Some servers might allow it, but you will have to be a certain role to get the ability.
- Tap the three dots in the channels area of the server
Head to the server where you want to change your nickname, and open up the channels. At the top, you should see the server name and three dots next to it. Tap on the three dots to open up the server settings window.
- Tap on the Edit Server Profile option
You will have variety of options here that will vary based on your role in the server. It might not look exactly the same as the image below, but you should find the Edit Server Profile option, which you will need to tap on.
- Edit your nickname
You will now be able to edit your Nickname for this specific server if you have the capability to do so. Some servers only allow certain roles to edit their Nickname. You will have to talk to an Admin or Moderator if you want to get access if you don’t have the ability. If you do, you can enter it into the Nickname textbox and then close the window to save it. You can also hit the X button in the textbox to revert your Nickname back to the original. You can also change your avatar in this server as well, if your role allows you to do so!
