Dead by Daylight is soon on its sixth year of scaring and delighting players, with no sign of slowing down soon. By attracting several high-profile horror classics, Behaviour Interactive has ensured that its game is a one-stop shop for horror games, movies, and TV fans. However, what keeps players coming back each time is the introduction of new Tomes that provide lore and context for the world of Dead by Daylight. In addition, to unlock new cosmetics and in-game currency, players must complete challenges for Survivors or Killers.

In this guide, we’ll teach you all you need to know to commune with White Glyphs in Dead by Daylight.

How to Commune With a White Glyph in DBD

First, you’ll need to locate the White Glyph somewhere on the map you’re currently playing on. When you find it and press the button to commune with it, you’ll spawn a fragile Pocket Mirror that you’ll have to carry to the Killer’s basement. There, you’ll interact with another White Glyph as long as you still have the mirror in your possession.

Dead By Daylight White Glyph

The pocket mirror you’ll get from the first Glyph is very fragile, and you’ll likely break it if you’re hit or picked up by the Killer. To make it through the map unseen, avoid leaving a blood trail or scratch marks. These are clear signs that you’ve been near, and the Killer will find you in no time. It’s imperative to be careful once you’ve communed with the first White Glyph since the Pocket Mirror can break and you’ll start all over.

It only takes about three seconds each time to commune with the White Glyphs, meaning you won’t have to hang in the basement for long. You’ll also be able to see the outline of the Glyph when you get within eight meters. If you’ve broken the mirror, it’ll take 10 seconds for it to respawn. Another helpful tidbit is that the White Glyph will always spawn between 30 and 50 meters away from the dungeon, meaning you can always find the basement first and search the surrounding area.

Communing with Glyphs is a battle pass mechanic that Dead by Daylight has been using for around a year now, giving players particular objectives inside the Entity’s Realm. As long as you can find the first White Glyph, that’s all you need to know about communing with White Glyphs in Dead by Daylight.
