The Discord and PlayStation partnership was discussed all the way back in May of 2021, and since then we haven’t heard a whole lot about it. While not everything is known about how things will fully go between the two companies, they have begun to roll out the ability to link your PlayStation Network account to your Discord, which will display your game activity from your PlayStation 4 or 5. If you want to know how to do this with Discord, we’ll show you how in this guide.

Linking PlayStation to Discord

First thing to note is that you might not have the ability to link your Discord account to your PlayStation Network account right this second. If you open up your User Settings and go to Connections, you will see the various integrations that Discord has with other platforms. If you do not see the PlayStation Network button, you won’t be able to connect it right now. The feature is gradually being rolled out, so you might need to wait a bit before you can do it.

In your Discord User Settings on either the desktop or mobile application, you should see the option for Connections. Select that to open up the Connections menu, where you will hopefully see the PlayStation Network option.

When you select the PlayStation Network option, you will be asked to sign into your PSN account. As long as you entered in the correct information, it should connect the account to your Discord right away!

After your account has been connected, you will find a couple of new options in the Connections menu. These will give you the ability to display your PSN name in your profile or you can display your PlayStation Network activity as your status.

Keep in mind, you will have to has your PSN Privacy Settings configured in a certain way for this to work. You will need to set the “PSN Online Status” and “Now Playing” to being visible by “Anyone” for your status to be visible on Discord. If you don’t do this it won’t show up!

That is everything you need to know about connecting your PlayStation Network account to Discord. Check out the Discord section of our website for more useful information about the messaging software!
