Lost Ark is a fantasy MMORPG that was originally released in South Korea, and has recently been made available in a variety of other countries in February 2022. Players are swarming to give it a try, but that means there’s a whole lot of questions on how to do things in the game. One of these seemingly simple tasks is dismantling items and gear that will be filling up your inventory. If this sounds like you, we’ll be explaining how you can do it in this guide!

Dismantling Items

To dismantle gear and items in Lost Ark, you will need to open up your inventory in the game (I-key by default). At the bottom of the inventory menu, look for the button which has a hammer on it. This will open up the dismantle item menu, which allows you to drag items to it that can be destroyed for resources.

Only certain items can be dismantled, and when you open up the dismantle item window items that are unable to be destroyed will turn dim. If you’re going to be dismantling a lot of items, you can right click on them to add them to the window. Once you have them all added, just hit the Dismantle button to recycle the gear.

Items you dismantle will give you equipment pieces and powder items which can be sold to vendors.

If you don’t want to both keeping some of the lower level items you get, you can setup the auto-dismantle settings. This option is found in the dismantle window at the bottom. You can set it up to automatically recycle items that you receive based on the type, rank, tier, and quality. This is a very useful way to keep your inventory from filling up quickly in the game.
