Fortnite challenges are a weekly endeavor that will have you exploring various parts of the map to complete tasks that will reward you with valuable XP towards leveling up your Battle Pass. Most of the time they are pretty self-explanatory, but there are times when some of the quests can be a bit confusing or difficult. Duel NPCs
All three NPCs are in separate areas of the map. Ronin is located on the eastern side of the mountain of Covert Canyon. Mancake can be found in the Butter Barn, which is southwest of Rocky Reels. Shanta is located on the southeastern tip of the map very close by Condo Canyon.
You only need to defeat one of these NPCs in a duel, so pick the one that makes the most sense based on your bus route. It is likely going to be best to pick one that is furthest away so you don’t have to fight off other players. Shanta is likely going to be the one that is least popular because it is so far from the center of the map.
To duel an NPC, you just need to go to their location and interact with them. You will find a duel option, which if you pick will knock you back away from the NPC and they will then be able to attack you. Play it safe and build protection and take shots at them from behind cover. Make sure you have geared up prior to challenging them to a duel. Once you’re victorious, you will complete the challenge and get yourself some loot from the NPC you defeated!
