Pokemon Legends: Arceus is quite a bit different than your average Pokemon game, which means there’s quite a few new things for you to experience. Trading to evolve your Pokemon has always been kind of a hassle, but in this game you will find that there’s a way you can do it without having to be online! If you want to know how to take your Graveler to the next level, we’ll show you how in this guide.
Graveler Evolution Guide
To evolve Graveler into Golem, you will either need to trade it to another player or use the Linking Cord item which can be purchased from Simona for Merit Points.
Simona is located in Jubilife City, and is very close to Galaxy Hall. You will recognize her by the bright yellow and pink flag near her stall with Togepi on it.
Trading Pokemon will require you to either have someone nearby you willing to trade, or you can connect to the internet. Both of these can be done at Simona, you just select the “I want to trade Pokemon” option from her speech options. You will need to have a Nintendo Online subscription to trade online!
If you don’t have a subscription or anyone nearby to trade with you would usually be out of luck. However, Pokemon Legends: Arceus has you covered! Instead of selecting the trade option, select the “I want to get items” choice from her menu. Scroll down and look for the Linking Cord item. It can be purchased for 1,000 Merit Points and can be used on any Pokemon that requires trading to evolve.
To get Merit Points, you will need to locate lost satchels. These can be found in the open world on any of the maps you have available. Look for the satchel icon, travel to the location, and pick it up. Once you have a satchel, open up your menus with the Up button on your D-Pad. Go to the Communications section and select Lost & Found. Hit the A-button on one you’ve found, and you will get an item and Merit Points as a reward. You do not need an online subscription to find these.
When you’ve earned up enough Merit Points to get your Linking Cord, you can just go to your inventory, select the Linking Cord, and then use it on your Graveler to upgrade them into a Golem.
