Pokemon Legends: Arceus is quite a bit different than your average Pokemon game, which means there’s quite a few new things for you to experience. In the Hisuian region, you will find some new evolutions of a many different Pokemon. One of these is Scyther, who can evolve into the double-scythe wielding Pokemon known as Kleavor! If you want to know how to take your Scyther to the next level, we’ll show you how in this guide.
Scyther Evolution Guide
To evolve Scyther into Kleavor, you will need to obtain the Black Augurite item. This can be gotten by using the Ursaluna mount, and treasure hunting with it in the Scarlet Bog which is located in the Crimson Mirelands.
Scyther can be found quite frequently in the Obsidian Fieldlands to the southeast. The location is called the Grandtree Arena, and in the forest you will find a bunch of Scyther, along with some Wood if you need that for quests and crafting. Use the trees in the woods to sneak up on one and hit it with a PokeBall in the back to get a bonus on the catch rate. Alternatively, do battle with it and bring down its health. Scyther is weak to Rock, Flying, Fire, Electric, and Ice-type moves.
Once you have your Scyther, you will need to be far enough into the game to have unlocked the Crimson Mirelands and the treasure finding bear know as Ursaluna. When you ride on Ursaluna, you will see different colors appear in front of it. Keep running around the area until you see the color orange/red. Once you do start pressing the Y-button and you will eventually dig for treasure.
The item you are looking to find in the area is called the Black Augurite. You aren’t guaranteed to find it when you locate treasure, so you might need to repeatedly run around the area searching for items. If you’ve exhausted all the treasure in the area, just travel back to your camp and sleep to reset it.
Once you have the Black Augurite, you just need to navigate to it in your inventory, select it, and then use it on the Scyther you want to evolve. It will then transform into its Hisuian evolution, Kleavor.
