New World is the newly released MMO by Amazon Games Studios that will take you into the exploration of a fictional land that was is based off of the Americas. You will be looking to harvest resources, craft items, get control of settlements, complete quests, explore, PVP, or fight off monsters. As you head into this dangerous world, you will need to know how to gather Aged Wood for crafting. We’ll show you how in this guide.

Aged Wood Guide

To get Aged Wood in New World, you will first need to upgrade your Logging skill to 50 by chopping down Young Trees. These are smaller trees that you will find in most forests. Once you’ve reached that level, you can then move on to the Mature Trees, which are much wider and thicker at the base. These spawn near Young Trees, just look for the noticeable size difference. Chop at the Mature Tree for a while until it falls and you will receive Aged Wood!

The Logging Skill in New World

Aged Wood is a useful resource that you will need to if you’re going to use the Woodworking Skill. If you combine 4x Aged Wood with 2x Timber, you will receive 1x Lumber. This is a refined resource that will be used in future crafts.

Aged Wood is a valuable item because it will always be in demand. You will use it fairly often if you’re a Woodworker, so having quite a few piles of it is not a bad thing!

That’s everything we know about getting Aged Wood in New World. You will find details on a lot more things about the game in the New World section of our website!
