How To Get the Freeze Trap Ability in Blade Ball
To get the Freeze Trap ability in Blade Ball, you have to buy a Freeze Trap from the Christmas Shop to the left of the Crates for 4,500 Stockings. You can also get stockings for doing the following.
- You can pick up stockings from dead players or from around the arena as you play.
- By logging in for seven days and claiming the free First Meeting Pass.
- By winning games and claiming stocking via the Wins Pass.
You need to amass 4,500 of them to afford to purchase the Freeze Trap ability.
What Is the Freeze Trap Ability in Blade Ball?
The Freeze Trap ability creates a blue trap at your target location. Any unfortunate player who steps into the trap will be instantly frozen in place, unable to move for a brief period, but they can still deflect, so for more than casual players, not moving is more of a nuisance than anything else.
But for newbies, this provides a golden opportunity to take them out as they may panic and wonder why they can’t move and forget to deflect in time.
If you don’t get them within those few seconds, they’ll unfreeze and be able to return balls. You also have to wait about 10 to 15 seconds in between every use of the ability, making it something you have to use methodically instead of spamming.
Best Way To Use Freeze Trap in Blade Ball
The smartest way to do this is to set up multiple in one location and then lead your enemies into it. You can do this by making sure you’re in the path of the freeze trap and just move back so your enemy will try to close the gap and get caught.
Alternatively, we’ve seen people just stand next to other players and set traps close to them so they mess up a streak or clash. This also works, but it can potentially get you as a target.
