Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a fresh take on the well-known Pokemon franchise that has been around for what feels like forever. There’s quite a few interesting new additions in this game, and that includes a variety of things that will be unfamiliar to the player. One of these is the MP system, which might be a bit confusing at first, but don’t worry because we’ll clear it up with this guide!
How to get MP
To get MP aka Merit Points in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, you will need to retrieve lost satchels that spawn all-around each of the regions in the game. Once you’ve obtained a satchel, you can turn it in and will receive 50 – 100 MP for your troubles.
The first thing to learn is where you can see all of the currently lost satchels. These are in kind of a weird spot, you need to open up the menu area by pressing UP on the D-Pad. You then need to scroll to the side and find the Communications window. Once there you will select Lost & Found. This menu shows all the currently lost satchels, as well as any satchels you’ve lost in the game.
This shows the additional item reward you will get for retrieving the satchel, and the exact location you will find it in. Note that location and then leave Jubilife Village and go to the area where the satchel is located that you want to collect.
Once you’ve arrived in the region, open up your map and look for briefcase like icons on it. These are the missing satchels, and you will need to travel exactly where it is shown. It is usually very close to where the icon is marked on your map!
The satchel is a small brown pouch, that will be somewhere on the ground. It can get a bit obscured by the grass, but if you run near it you should get a prompt that will allow you to collect it.
After you have collected a satchel, go back to the Lost & Found menu, and select the one you found. You will then be rewarded once you turn it in via this menu, you do not need to travel anywhere. You will be rewarded between 50 and 100 Merit Points per satchel you turn in!
