Core Keeper is the latest indie game to climb Steam’s charts, providing players with a crafting-survival game that takes place underground. Like other games in the genre, the player will progressively get new resources. The player will first gather Bronze and Tin before working up to Scarlet Ore.

Currently, Scarlet Ore is the best material that you can get in Core Keeper. Unfortunately, that means getting to it will require some knowledge. Luckily, this guide will tell you all you need to know about collecting Scarlet Ore.

Where to Find Scarlet Ore in Core Keeper

First, you’ll need to ensure that you have defeated the three world bosses around your map: Glurch, Ghorm, and The Hive Mother. You’ll then need to find a nature biome through one of the outermost walls once you’ve turned on the Core. When in the green nature biome, look for the sparkling spots that indicate gems.

Once you defeat each of the world bosses, they’ll drop a gem. You’ll need to carry the gem back to the central Core and put it in its corresponding shrine. You’ll unlock a new ability once you do this and activate the central Core. The Core will tell you to walk up to an outer wall and press E, and it will disappear, revealing the new biome.

Since you’ll be going into a newer biome, you should ensure that you have the best gear available up to that point. Wearing the bronze armor set and carrying the bronze pickaxe will help you be the most prepared for your journey. In addition, if you can find any accessories that enhance your mining ability, you should wear those too, considering how difficult the grass blocks can be.

As with all the biomes before it, you’ll notice the ore by its shining in the dark. After you gather the ore and take it back to your base, you’ll unlock a whole new range of tools. This includes a Scarlet pickaxe, sword, backpack, lantern, and fishing rod. Once you’ve got the Scarlet Workbench, you should get access to two new stations as well.

The Distillery Table will allow you to make potions and explosives and the automation table. These are currently the highest tier of crafting stations in the game. You can also craft the Scarlet walls and floors to give your base a new look.

That’s all you need to know about where to find Scarlet Ore. Be sure to check out the Core Keeper section of our website for more great content!
