Discord is a large platform that allows you to create groups, message others, and keep in touch with your friends. You can use it to chat with people with text messaging, voice, and even video calls. It is a very versatile piece of software that can be used on mobile or computer. If you’re looking to keep your gaming activity private from your friends and people on a Discord server, we’ll show you how to disable it in this guide.
Discord Game Activity
To hide your game activity on Discord, you will need to go to your User Settings and then to Activity Status. Once you are on the Activity Status page, you can just uncheck the marker labeled as Display current activity as a status message to disable showing your game activity!
The User Settings can be found at the bottom of Discord next to your username. Just click on the Gear button and you will open up the User Settings window.
On the left will be a sidebar with all of the available options. Scroll down until you reach the area labeled, Activity Settings. Click on the option marked, Activity Status. You should then see the “Display current activity as a status message” option. It should be green at the moment if you have it enabled, so just click on the button, which will turn the button gray and place an X icon on the switch.
Discord will not show what game you’re playing when you are using the mobile app, however, it will display if you are attending a public Stage. You can disable this in the exact same way as you would on the PC, it just serves a slightly different function.
That is everything you need to know about how to hide game activity with Discord. Check out the Discord section of our website for more useful information about the messaging software!
