Icarus is a PVE survival game made by the developer behind the popular and well-known DayZ. You will be heading into an alien wilderness and attempting to survive solo or with a group of players. You can explore around and locate various material to keep yourself and others alive. One of these things you will need is Glass, and if you aren’t sure how to make it, we’ll tell you how in this guide.
Glass Guide
To make Glass in Icarus, you will need to have at least a Concrete or Electric Furnace. Once you do, you can use 1x Silica inside a furnace to create 1x Glass.
Silica is the big requirement for Glass, and you will find it pretty much all over the place because it’s a necessary component to craft the Mortar and Pestle. It can be mined with any pickaxe, so just find a node and hack away until you have as much as you can carry.
The hardest part is getting yourself a Concrete Furnace, because this is a Tier 3 craftable that requires you to have a Machining Bench. Once you have the bench, you will need 12x Iron Ingot, 8x Rope, 12x Epoxy, and 20x Concrete Mix for the Concrete Furnace.
Once you have your Concrete Furnace, throw in the Silica, some Coal, and wait for it to melt down into Glass.
Glass is used in a variety of Tier 3 including things like Lights, Binoculars, Berry Jam, Glass Jar, Beer, Wine, Biofuel Lamp, and more! You can also construct Glass Windows, Walls, and Doors for your camp if you want to make things a lot more homey.
That’s everything you need to know about making glass in Icarus. Be sure to check out the Icarus section of our website for more details on the game!
