Virtual World has consistently been one of the top meta decks for a while. The deck uses its combination of Wyrm and Psychic monsters to wreak havoc on the enemy’s lifepoints. In this guide, learn how to build and play a Virtual World deck in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master duel.

Best Virtual World Deck

Virtual World uses a focus on Special Summoning from the hand while sending cards from the deck to the graveyard. It makes use of synchro summoning a lot, which can be a hard mechanic for new players to pull off, but once it’s mastered it can be used to summon one of the strongest cards ever printed, True King Of All Calamities.

How To Play Virtual World

Almost every Virtual World monster card has the same effect.

“If this card is in your hand: You can target 1 “Virtual World” card you control; you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Level/Rank 3 or higher monsters, also send 1 “Virtual World” card from your Deck to the GY with a different card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap) from the targeted card, and if you do, Special Summon this card…”

This is then followed further by that card’s unique effect. This allows you to flood the board with monsters quickly, and set yourself up for synchro summoning your more powerful virtual world cards. This also floods the graveyard, which will be important later.

Gate – Qinglong is a continuous spell that allows you to banish a “Virtual World” from your graveyard to target and negate a face-up monster’s effects. This continues even if Qinglong leaves the field. Banishing this card from your graveyard allows you to add any “Virtual World” monster from your Deck to your hand after sending a card to the graveyard, allowing for more card control.

The trap Gate – Chuche allows you to destroy a face up card and then shuffle two of your banished cards back into your deck, vastly limiting the negative effects of the banish mechanic. Banishing it from your graveyard allows you to target and either increase or reduce the Level of a “Virtual World” monster, which is directly used for synchro summoning.

City – Kauwloon places both of these cards directly from the Deck into the Spell & Trap Zone, activating their effects in sequence. Then, you summon 4 Virtual Word monsters from your deck and increase their ATK for the rest of the turn. This is an incredibly powerful combo that can recycle cards and turn a board to your favor.

Virtual World Beast – Jiujiu is a powerful synchro summon that cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects so long as you have two Virtual World monsters in your graveyard. On top of that, once per turn it can target a card on the field and send it directly to the graveyard. At this point in the game, you’ve summoned a nearly undefeatable monster that shrinks your opponent’s board at shockingly fast speeds, leaving them open for the kill.
