V Rising has you awakening as a vampire in a hostile world. You will need to find blood to regain your strength, and build your way up to the top of the vampire hierarchy. To do so, you will need to create a base for you and your friends or attempt to go it alone. When constructing your base, you might want to remove some borders if you’ve maxed out, if so, we’ll tell you how in this guide.

Unclaiming Borders

To remove a border in V Rising, you will need to be in build mode (B-key) and then hold down spacebar which dismantles just about everything build wise. You will need to remove anything that is in the tile or adjacent to the tile like walls and pillars for this to work.

The main part that gets confusing is that having any building basically touching the tile you want to remove will prevent you from being able to remove the border. So, if you have floors, walls, pillars, or anything butted up against the tile, you might need to remove them.

Borders determine where you can build parts of your castle, so if you accidentally place one somewhere you will want to reclaim it so you can use it elsewhere. As you level up, you will be able to expand your castle further to make yourself quite an estate!
