Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 2 has just been released and with it come a lot of new changes and additions to the game. This is always an exciting time because Epic tries out some new things and adds a bunch of features that players haven’t experienced before. They have just added the ability to use a tactical sprint, which gives you a burst of speed that you can use for a short period of time.

How to Tactical Sprint

To tactical sprint in Fortnite, you need to bind a key to the sprint button. This might be unbound at the moment, because a lot of players run by default. Once you have a sprint key bound on controller or your keyboard, you just need to hold it down and you will start sprinting!

You can bind your sprint key by heading to the settings in Fortnite, and then going to either the keyboard controls or controller controls section. For PC, you will head to the keyboard controls and look for the Sprint option. Enter in any key you want to bind it!

If you’re on controller, just go to the controller controls and pick which button you want tactical sprint to be bound to. Go through the options and select the sprint option.

Keep in mind that when you use the tactical sprint you will put away whatever you are carrying in your hand. You will have to wait a bit once you stop sprinting to pull out your weapon again. Make sure you are doing this strategically, because you don’t want to run directly into an enemy without a weapon available!
