Smalland is an open-world survival game where players explore a vast world from a small perspective. Players can traverse various landscapes such as forests, swamps, and ruins, while discovering hidden NPCs that provide lore and knowledge. The game also allows players to tame and ride various creatures, from grasshoppers to spiders. If you need help knowing how to tame a Damselfly in Smalland: Survive the Wilds, we have the recipe for the Grasshopper treat and a guide on taming this creature!
How to tame a Damselfly in Smalland: Survive the Wilds
To tame a Damselfly in Smalland, you will need to head to the southeast area of the map and speak to Tuhala. This is a higher-level area, so this is not a creature you’ll want to tame early on! You will then have to accept a quest from Tuhala, where you will need to defeat and loot the King Stag Beetle, one of the game’s final bosses. You will then take the loot back to the Elder in order to obtain the Damselfly Treat recipe.
You will find Damselflies near bodies of water, particularly if you can see lilypads sitting on the surface of the water. When mounted, you will need to jump while navigating over water or else the Damselfly will drown. They will fly in and attack creatures but will not attack when mounted.
To tame creatures in Smalland, you’ll need to have their preferred treat in your inventory (but doesn’t have to be in your actual hand), which you’ll be able to offer and feed to the creature after you’ve hit it below 50% health.
Damselfly Treat Recipe
In order to make the Damselfly Treat, the recipe must first be unlocked by starting a quest given by the NPC Tuhala and completing it. You will also need access to a Stone Oven. The treat is described as an “irresistible treat for any Damselfly, served on an alluring petal.”
| Ingredient | How to Get Ingredient |
|---|---|
| 3x Firefly Juice | Kill Fireflies |
| 1x Petal | |
| 2x Seed Oil | From seeds, requires Stonecutter |
Remember, you can only have one tamed creature at a time, so you will need to release one before you tame another. It is important to consider what you want your tamed creature to do so that you can tame the right one for where you are in the game.
