How to trap animals in Dinkum

Looking to catch a few Wallabies? In this guide, we'll show you how to capture animals using the Trapping skill in Dinkum.
Dinkum

Dinkum is the newest farming and crafting game on Steam. In this down-under adventure, players can join up with their friends to explore a world based on the Australian outback. While the game may be a relaxing journey, building your town in the bush can be hard if you’re not prepared. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to capture animals for your outback menagerie in Dinkum.

Trapping animals in Dinkum

Before you can start trapping animals in Dinkum, you’ll need to apply for a trapping license. You can do so by talking to Fletch and purchasing the license for 500 permit points. Doing so will allow you to craft a simple animal trap and the animal collection point, which are both vital for the collection of animals.

Craft your animal collection point first. You will need this to sell the animals you have captured and collect Dinks. Once your collection point is set, you can craft as many traps as you’d like, which you’ll need to actually capture the animals.

Place your traps near animals, such as the many friendly Wallabies hopping around the island. You’ll have to wait for the animals to stumble into the trap, which shouldn’t take too long if the trap is close. Once they’re trapped, you can pick them up and bring them to the animal collection point to sell the animal for Dinks.

With a level 2 trapping license, you can make sturdier traps that allow you to capture tougher animals. Until then, focus on catching and selling Wallabies to level up your trapping skill with simple traps.

That’s all you need to know to capture animals in Dinkum! If you liked this guide and want to see more, leave a comment below and check out our other Dinkum guides.
