How to Unlock Nala in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To unlock Nala in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to unlock the Lion King Realm, which will require you to first visit with Merlin and give him 10,000 Dreamlight in order to access the door to the realm. You will find the door to this realm by entering the castle, and then going upstairs and towards the left. The door is decorated with Simba on it, so it should be pretty clear which door to go through!

Once you go through the door, it will start the quest Eyes in the Dark, which will unlock Nala once completed.

How to Complete Eyes in the Dark Questline

To complete Nala’s Eyes in the Dark questline, you’ll start by planting Thorn Bush seeds that you’ll have to water so that they’ll grow into thorny vines that will help block the path from the hyenas chasing her. To get the seeds, you’ll dig out the dried-out thorny bushes nearby and pick up five seeds. Then, you’ll plant the five seeds near the ledge of the dried-out oasis and water them until they grow.

How to Lower Log for Eyes in the Dark Quest

Next, you’ll follow Nala as she goes through a cave and leads you to a waterfall. You will need need to break the rocks that are holding the log in place by going just beyond the waterfall until you’re underneath the large log above with rocks below, near the bottom of a large tree trunk. You’ll use your pickaxe to break the rocks and trigger a cutscene showing the log lowering.

You’ll look for Simba, tell him Hakuna Matata, and then he’ll have a conversation with Nala, before you’ll be tasked to cook!

How to Cook Bug Platters

You will need to cook a Bug Platter. Each Bug Platter requires 1x Slimy Bug, 2x Colorful Bug, and 2x Red Bugs. You can find all of the bugs needed for the recipe in the area you’ve been traversing for Nala’s questline. For Slimy Bugs, you’ll go to the river and look for reddish areas and fish for slimy bugs. For Colorful Bugs, you’ll go to the beginning point of the questline and look for shiny spots on the ground and then dig for Colorful Bugs. For Red Bugs, you’ll find them where you found Simba and need to dig up tree stumps and then catch the Red Bugs as they get dislodged.

How to Fix the Broken Sound System

Next, you’ll have to talk to Scrooge on behalf of Nala, and he will give you a Broken Sound System that you’ll need to repair with 10x Softwood, 5x Hardwood, and 2x Iron Ingot, which you’ll then bring back to Nala to scare the hyenas away.
