How to upgrade Security Clearance in Dead Space Remake
You will be able to upgrade your security clearance as you progress through the main storyline in the game. There are three security clearance levels that you can obtain, and these allow you to access certain areas of the USG Ishimura that are otherwise locked.
You will be able to obtain Security Clearance, Level 1 after getting the Captain’s Rig in Chapter 2. Security Clearance, Level 2 will be available in Chapter 3 at the Captain’s Nest when meeting with Zach Hammond. Deeper into the game, during Chapter 7, you can get Security Clearance, Level 3, after finding Dallas on the Mining Deck.
Security Clearances will be useful in obtaining one of the last weapons in the game, the Contact Beam, as well as when completing side missions.
