Human Fall Flat, the cooperative ragdoll puzzle game from developer No Brakes Games and publisher Curve Games, just released the brand-new level “Copper World” today. The update is free, and out now on PC. New levels are generally rolled out on consoles much later.
Although a release date for other platforms hasn’t been confirmed, fan requests for console support were met with a reply from the CM, though it seemed like a simple tease. They playfully asked what they might get in return if they released Copper World on consoles sooner. Here’s the full thread, which includes a brief gameplay teaser of the new level:
Human Fall Flat is a brilliant game, with multiple paths to resolve puzzles, and an endless supply of physical comedy thanks to its physics and surreal worlds. It also succeeds as a coop game, since each puzzle generally demands real teamwork. But it has expanded a lot since launch.
The devs have allowed players to create their own levels, resulting in a strong and loyal community. It also invited a lot more platforming into the game, which is alternately beneficial or detrimental.
Copper World’s teaser shows just a little too much platforming, when the original core of Human Fall Flat boiled down to players solving puzzles together. However, the puzzles that do show up are very imaginative, and the environments somehow manage to distinguish themselves from similar themes as seen in the Red Rock level.
The music also plays a large role in this game, creating a signature quirky and whimsical attitude. Fortunately, a follow-up tweet from the game’s official feed added that Copper World’s soundtrack would be coming soon for DLC owners. A release date wasn’t announced, but it’s expected sometime soon:
