Inevitable Studios has officially announced their debut title, Always in Mind. This narrative-based action platformer will soon launch for PC via Steam. Accompanying this announcement is Always in Mind’s first-ever trailer, offering an exciting glimpse into the game’s captivating world.
In Always in Mind, players will step into the shoes of a 12-year-old boy named Teddy, who ended up in a coma after an accidental fall. While in this deep slumber, Teddy embarks on a journey into the labyrinth of his own subconscious, a surreal landscape of unlimited possibilities. Teddy embarks on a quest to uncover the awe-inspiring powers of his mind in order to escape it. Alongside him on this journey is an AI implant known as “Proxy,” who will not only serve as a companion, guide, and friend but also a key figure in reuniting Teddy with his shattered family.
Always in Mind promises to deliver a surreal adventure, challenging players to navigate through unpredictable dreamscapes and wield extraordinary abilities. Players will jump, warp, slide, and glide through every corner of Teddy’s mind, and experience the thrill of high-speed sledding excursions.
Cord Smith, the founder of Inevitable Studios and also the Game Director for the project, described Always in Mind as the product of their ambition to craft authentic, positive, and unique experiences that the industry and the world need right now. He added, “By blending powerful narrative themes with intuitive controls and deep action-oriented gameplay, we invite gamers of all skill levels to experience the mind-bending, heart-warming moments we hope they’ll discuss and cherish for years to come.”
Based on its announcement trailer, Always in Mind appears to hold significant promise with its enchanting art style and surreal environmental design.
