In a turn of events that left many astonished, well-known YouTuber IShowSpeed accidentally purchased a Midnight Blue Sparkle Time Fedora, a limited item on Roblox, for an eye-watering 14 million Robux.

The Midnight Blue Sparkle Time Fedora, a rare virtual hat, operates in a manner similar to a non-fungible token (NFT), but with the bonus feature of being wearable on a user’s Roblox avatar. When first released, the Fedora was restricted to only 100 available pieces, making it a coveted item in the world of Roblox.

IShowSpeed, known as Speed to his followers, has gained notoriety as a YouTuber, streamer, rapper, and internet personality. The Cincinnati native registered his channel in 2017 and has been posting a variety of gaming content. His candid and sometimes shocking behavior during live streams has propelled him into the spotlight, helping him garner a robust following while simultaneously stirring controversy. His fame skyrocketed between 2021 and 2022, with clips from his live streams circulating widely on social media platforms. His hard work and influence did not go unnoticed – he was awarded the title of Breakout Streamer of the Year at the 12th Streamy Awards in 2022.

Primarily, IShowSpeed’s content revolves around playing video games, with Roblox being one of his preferred platforms. Evidently frustrated after his unintended purchase, expressed anger over the lack of a verification step before such a large transaction was processed on Roblox.

Notably, the Fedora’s average selling price is roughly around 4 million Robux. Indicating that IShowSpeed massively overpaid for the item.
