THQ Nordic has revealed to release its upcoming isometric tactical role-playing game, Jagged Alliance 3, this Summer with a physical edition.
Jagged Alliance 3 is the first mainline entry in the Jagged Alliance series since the 1999 Jagged Alliance 2. It is set in Grand Chien, a nation of rich natural resources and deep political divides, and features a roster of 40 mercenaries, including several returning characters such as Vicki Waters, Ivan Dolvich, and Fidel Dahan.
In Jagged Alliance 3, players will choose from a huge cast of mercenaries and engage in rich, tactical turn-based combat. Players will also decide the fate of Grand Chien in an open RPG structure after the nation is thrown into chaos when the elected president goes missing and a paramilitary force seizes control of the countryside. In online co-op mode, players may experience the campaign together with friends.
Jagged Alliance 3 was originally announced in 2004 but has been subject to numerous delays as its original developers repeatedly withdrew from its development. During the THQ Nordic 10th Anniversary Digital Showcase in 2021, Jagged Alliance 3 was announced for PC and revealed to be in development by Haemimont Games, the developer of the Tropico series.
After years of anticipation, THQ Nordic finally revealed today that Jagged Alliance 3 will be available this Summer for PC via Steam. Its physical ‘Tactical Edition‘ will also be available upon release and includes the following content, all housed in a sturdy and waterproof case:
