There are a lot of battle royales, but there are few that let you overpower your opponents with the strength to fight like a crab. Fans of the top-down battle royale King of Crabs won’t have to wait long to realize the full potential of their crustacean with the full release of the game coming on Sep. 26.

Developer Robot Squid made the announcement earlier this morning, stating that the early access has been a three year journey, but one that has paid off. Before the full launch later this month, there will also be an update coming on Wednesday, Sep. 20. One of the main highlights of the update is Crab Royale, which features a shrinking circle that pushes all players together, and it’s available today.

As with previous seasons, King of Crabs will feature a new crab called the Samurai Crab, which has a sword and intense armor that will prove devastating on the field. In addition to this, players can find a ram hat, a battle axe weapon, a flying fish pet, and more, likely unlockable on the battle pass.

The classic battle royale modes remain in King of Crabs, but the new addition is meant to liven up the battlefield and keep players engaged in each individual fight. Like other popular battle royale games, it’s free to play, but there are in-app purchases like the previously mentioned battle pass and specific cosmetics.
