Knockout City, a multiplayer online action game developed by Velan Studios and published by Electronic Arts, is set to bring back its Easter season limited-time event, Spring Fling, on March 28th. The event will run until April 11th, as revealed on the previously announced Season 9 Roadmap, and will be followed by the Z3R0 R3TURN5 event. Take a look at the content of the 2023 Spring Fling event in a new trailer, courtesy of Knockout City‘s official Youtube channel:
Knockout City‘s Spring Fling event first launched last year and ran from April 12th to April 26th, 2022. Similar to the previous Spring Fling event, players will be able to earn a special event currency called “Choco-Coins” in this year’s Easter season in Knockout City. These currencies may be used in the “Spring Fling Shop,” which offers a selection of event cosmetics that are not available elsewhere. Choco-Coins may be acquired through the successful completion of Event Contracts, the collection of Easter Eggs, or through Match XP. The cosmetics that may be obtained during this event are exclusive to the event itself and cannot be acquired after the event has concluded.
Along with the Spring Fling event, the Basketbrawl Playlist is also back but with some high-flying twist. This Basketball-inspired event challenges Brawlers to score points by throwing KO’ed caged-ball opponents through the various hoops across the map. This time, Basketbrawl provides some extra points for Slam Dunking hop-position and a Super Double Jump ability for every brawler, making it easier than ever for them to leap into baskets. Players will also have the chance to bag the fan-favorite Bunny Brawler Bundle from the Brawl Shop.
It is a very unfortunate turn of events when it has been announced that Season 9 of Knockout City will be the game’s final season. On June 6, 2023, over two years after its initial launch, all servers around the world will be shut down and Knockout City will no longer be playable. For the time being, players may look forward to the rest of the spectacular events that are scheduled to arrive in Knockout City prior to its projected shutdown date.
