Yesterday, July 20th, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening made its debut in the West. The game revolves around players taking on the role of a daimyo in Japan’s Sengoku period. Understandably, non-Japanese players may seek a more immersive experience in the game. With the addition of Japanese voice audio support, English players will be able to completely immerse themselves in the historical setting and feel more connected to the characters and their roles.
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening is the seventeenth installment in the long-running turn-based, grand strategy series that dates back to 1983. The game challenges players to achieve the ultimate goal of Warlord Oda Nobunaga—the conquest and unification of Japan. Apart from Nobunaga, players may also choose from a variety of regional daimyo of the era and must make strategic decisions in areas such as economics, diplomacy, and military tactics to secure victory and unite the nation. An array of AI officers, known as retainers, will be crucial in shaping the players’ battle strategy through their independent thought and actions.
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening is currently available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
