Legends of Runeterra recently announced their newest expansion, Glory in Navori, featuring two new champs and a ton of new cards coming to the game.. Today, LoR showed off the second champion coming to the expansion, Samira, including a sneak peak at her mechanics and some other cards coming to the expansion.

Samira, the Wild Rose, is a legendary soldier from Noxus. Often tasked with hunting down Noxus’ most wanted criminals, it seems that Samira has come to Navori to track down and return the card simply known as The Old Timer.

Samira’s mechanics reflect her combo-stacking nature, with the level-up condition “I’ve seen you play 6 cards. This resets the next time you gain the attack token.” This level-up condition requires players to play a lot of cards fast, making her really powerful in decks with low-cost burst or focus spells.

When Samira is summoned or strikes, she puts a Flair card in hand if you don’t already have one. Flair is a 1 mana burst spell that reads “Deal 1 damage to the enemy Nexus or give an ally Challenger this round.”

Once Samira levels up, Flair is reduced to 0 mana and she gains the text “When I see you play 6 cards, Rally.”

Samira is a 2 mana 2|2 with quick attack. Because of her low stats and combo nature, Samira seems like she would be best played in equipment or buff decks. With her Strike ability, I forsee the wild rose making a fantastic combo deck with Vayne.

Samira will be coming to Legends of Runeterra alongside Sett with the Glory in Navori expansion, coming March 29th.
