Legends of Runeterra recently announced their newest expansion, Glory in Navori, featuring two new champs and a ton of new cards coming to the game. Glory in Navori, which takes place in Ionia’s Navori region, naturally features fan-favorite League of Legends champion Sett as a new card. The Best-Boy Bastard was shown off in a trailer showing off his mechanics and some cards coming to the expansion.

Sett runs Navori’s underground from his seat of power in the fighting pits, where the reigning champ hosts extravagant fights between some of the toughest brawlers in Ionia. The fighting pit and area fighting seem to be the main setting of the expansion, with the new cards and mechanics representing the theme.

Glory from Navori comes with a new mechanic, coins. Coins are burst spells with a stacking “Restore 1 Mana” effect, meaning that the more cards you play that grant coins, the higher the payoff is.

Sett himself enters the ring at level 1 as a 4|5 with the effect “The first time I would drop below 1 health while attacking, I gain barrier instead.” This makes Sett a great card for dueling with tougher enemies, allowing him to survive fights other champs would lose.

He also has Challenger, letting him pick the battles he wants to fight.

Sett’s level up condition is spending 40 mana. While this is done easier with the Coin mechanic, it can easily be accomplished with other decks, making Sett a good fit into other decks and keeping him from being too synergy dependant.

Once Sett levels up, he becomes a 5|6 with the effect “When I attack, I can’t take damage or die.” On round start, after spending 12 mana, Sett gives you a fleeting Show Stopper card, which obliterates an enemy and does 1 damage to all other enemies and the nexus, meaning that Sett becomes, as the name suggests, a real show stopper.

Our second upcoming champion card, Samira, who will be making her way into LOR with Glory in Navori, coming March 29th.
