Rocket League fans, get ready to race! Lightning McQueen, the iconic race car from the Disney and Pixar film Cars, is coming to Rocket League on November 7, 2023. This is a beloved movie, one of my favorites, and is a much needed addition to Rocket League.

As shown in a tweet and site post, Lightning McQueen will be available as part of the Lightning McQueen Mega Bundle in Rocket League, which will cost 2500 Credits. The bundle will include the Lightning McQueen Car, three Decals, two sets of Wheels, the Ka-chow Goal Explosion, the Lightning McQueen Player Banner, and the “Life Is A Highway” Player Anthem by Rascal Flatts. This will be available until November 21, 2023.

The Lightning McQueen Car will be a Dominus hitbox car which means that it will have the same handling and physics as the Dominus. This makes sense because the Dominus is one of the most popular cars in Rocket League. The Lightning McQueen Car will also be the first car in Rocket League to feature dynamic expressions. Lightning will look around the pitch while you cruise the Arena, then narrow his eyes in focus as you approach supersonic speeds.

In addition to the Lightning McQueen Car, the Lightning McQueen Mega Bundle will also include the following items:

  • Rust-eze Decal
  • Dinoco Decal
  • Cruisin’ Decal
  • Lightyear Racing Wheels
  • Lightyear Dinoco Wheels
  • Lightyear Whitewall Wheels
  • Ka-chow Goal Explosion
  • Lightning McQueen Player Banner
  • Life Is A Highway” Player Anthem by Rascal Flatts: Get in the racing spirit with this classic song.

The Lightning McQueen Car, player anthem, and Ka-chow Goal Explosion will also be available for individual purchase. So if you don’t want all of the above, just get the stuff you’d like. I think most people should at least get the lightning McQueen car while it’s available from November 7 to November 21.
