Lightyear Frontier is an upcoming mech farming exploration game developed and published by FRAME BREAK and Amplifier Game Invest. It features a peaceful open world set on a planet at the far edge of the galaxy where players will start a new home with up to three friends.
Lightyear Frontier was first revealed in 2021, and since then, FRAME BREAK and Amplifier Game Invest have been providing updates on the development. In June 2022, Lightyear Frontier was announced to enter Early Access in Spring 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass. However, a recent announcement by the FRAME BREAK Development team revealed that they have made the decision to delay Lightyear Frontier‘s Early Access launch to offer more time for polishing and making the mech farming game even more engaging and well-balanced.
In Lightyear Frontier, players will operate a customizable tractor mech to harvest crops, construct a home, and explore a vast new planet. There will be a variety of tools available to them for building an interstellar homestead as well as for planting and sowing a diverse harvest. In addition, the planet where players reside is brimming with ancient secrets that they may uncover through exploration and the use of a scanner satellite.
Although fans have been looking forward to the Early Access launch of Lightyear Frontier, it appears that they have been understanding of the situation. This is likely the case because the game has received several additions, including a multiplayer mode, while it was being developed. Despite this, fans are rather optimistic about this upcoming mech farming game, with some anticipating that it would be comparable to a cross between Minecraft and No Man’s Sky.
FRAME BREAK clarified that the schedule of the Early Access launch of Lightyear Frontier is still indefinite and the developer can not commit a launch window at this time. For now, you may add Lightyear Frontier to your Xbox store and Steam wishlist to be alerted when it becomes available.
