On Sunday, April 23, 2023, Pokémon GO is hosting a Limited Research Day from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, focusing on the Trap Pokémon Stunfisk and Galarian Stunfisk. Players will have the chance to encounter Shiny Stunfisk for the first time in the game during this event, provided they’re fortunate enough. This event will be taking place during the recently announced Sustainability week.

By spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops, players will obtain limited Field Research tasks, which upon completion, will reward them with encounters featuring either Stunfisk or Galarian Stunfisk. These limited-time tasks provide an excellent opportunity for players to collect and encounter as many Stunfisk as they can.

In addition to the featured Pokémon, players can expect an increased chance of encountering Shiny Stunfisk and Shiny Galarian Stunfisk during the event. Moreover, other Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, including Sandshrew, Diglett, Gligar, Swinub, Phanpy, Larvitar, Numel, Barboach, Baltoy, Hippopotas, and Drilbur. Lucky players may even stumble upon a Shiny version of these wild Pokémon.

This Limited Research Day offers Pokémon GO enthusiasts an exceptional chance to add Stunfisk, Galarian Stunfisk, and potentially their Shiny variants, to their collections. Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your Pokémon roster and join in on the celebration of these unique Trap Pokémon.
