Little Noah: Scion of Paradise, a roguelite action RPG that launched last June to resounding praise, will officially receive an announcement video tomorrow on December 28th, 2022, at 2 AM pacific time. The directors of the game will host the video, which includes a Let’s Play. Here’s the reveal from developer and publisher Cygames’ official feed:
Little Noah: Scion of Paradise pleased a lot of roguelite fans by fusing it with a casual approach, which the devs smartly flaunted. There are endless teams to customize, and the graphics are superb, though they support old school gameplay.
It successfully made each of its combined genres far more accessible than they would ordinarily feel as disparate titles. For example, the wide range of its difficulty was suitable for both casual gamers and longtime roguelite fans. Little Noah: Scion of Paradise is one of the few roguelites that doesn’t intentionally veer into nigh impossible territory.
Of course, the art design is also a major selling point. It’s brimming with style, and undeniably cute, with vibrant colors and highly distinguishable characters.
The game’s mythology is also open to far more expansion, if the devs saw fit. Since the directors of the game will be hosting tomorrow’s update, they’ll have the freedom to unveil news that’s actually relevant. Hopefully, they actually take the opportunity to do so.
One of the few gripes many fans had with the game was its smaller replay value, which is arguably sort of baked into the gameplay loop. Ideally, the devs will be adding new content or DLC that will give players a real incentive to revisit the game. While it may be hard to believe, it’s been six months since the game launched.
