League of Legends: Wild Rift is back with a new update as Patch 4.0 draws close. Today, Riot Games teases Patch 4.1: High Five with two new champions, game changes, and brand-new skins, all of which will be available on March 16th, at 00:01 UTC. Take a look at the footage of Patch 4.1 Preview by League of Legends: Wild Rift’s Youtube channel:
As revealed in the Patch 4.1: High Five video, this update will bring the famous Toxic champions from League of Legends to Wild Rift. Urgot, the Dreadnought, is a fighter who utilizes poison to dominate his lane. He is a monstrous mix of man and machine. His ultimate skill is Fear Beyond Death which can execute the enemy impaled if the health threshold is reached. Twitch, the Plague Rat, is a marksman whose attacks apply poison with every hit. He can also Camouflage using Ambush to harass his enemies. His ultimate skill, Spray and Pray, can pierce all enemies within his firing range.
A selection of new skins is also coming to Wild Rift Patch 4.1, including the NOVA Collection Skins (Morgana, Lee Sin, Lucian, Nasus, Riven), High Noon Urgot, Arcade Ezreal, Battle Boss Brand, and many more. A few items have been also reworked to better suit the roles of the champions. The changes to the items are:
- Amaranth Twinguard grants stacks of Endurance while in combat with enemy champions.
- Mantle of the Twelfth Hour will be able to offer a lifeline for when the player is tanking a lot of damage.
- Searing Crown can now burn the enemies for a few seconds. It can stack with Sunfire Cap for double burn damage.
- Abyssal Mask‘s passive has been updated. When the player takes magic damage, it will store a part of it, eventually exploding, dealing damage to opponents.
- Force of Nature gains a new passive where taking ability damage will grant stacks of Steadfast.
- Thornmail, Sunfire Cape, and Bramble Vest are getting some adjustments which will be revealed later in the Patch Notes.
Wild Rift Ranked Season 9 will also officially begin on March 16th with the new Glorious Armada Twisted Fate skin. There are changes within the Ranked System where promotion to Grandmaster will require 40 marks while promotion to Challenger will need 60 marks.
A new Wild Pass is coming to Wild Rift with Superhero Vi as its core. Moreover, three new events, such as Urgot’s Trivia, Card Trick Chaos, and Twitch’s Ambush, are coming to Patch 4.1 with exciting rewards.
