Small Impact Games, the development team behind Marauders, recently shed light on the forthcoming changes expected to arrive in the game next month. Detailed in their fourth Steam Dev Blog, the updates include the introduction of a new raid, the start of tournaments, and the addition of new weapons.

Slated for a June release, the forthcoming content patch promises to bring a series of exciting updates. The developers are committed to maintaining a rapid development pace, with an aim to fortify the trust of their gaming community through substantial progress.

One of the key features of the June update will be the Mining Frigate, also known as the Mini Mine. Situated near the Colony Cruiser raid location, this breach-only point of interest (P.O.I.) is expected to be a significant addition. The update will also mark the debut of a solo queue feature, exclusively for solo players, another highly requested element by the community. Initially, for balance, it is likely to be a single P.O.I raid system, replacing the current double, with tweaks planned based on experimentation.

New weaponry will also be introduced, including the MAS-44, a 5.56 semi-automatic rifle with a 10-round capacity, and the SPP-1, a 4 chamber dart pistol. The MAS-44 is set to replace the M16 as the U.A. Marine’s high damage weapon, while the SPP-1 will be a rare find in all raids. The addition of the dart ammo type will pave the way for more weapons in this category, such as the APS underwater rifle and a yet-to-be-revealed SMG variant.

Following the June update, the developers will shift their focus to developing a new docking raid, codenamed the Planet Killer Base. This will be a United Allies Nuclear Missile Launch facility, typically deployed just out of an enemy target’s range, capable of launching multiple warheads.

Additionally, new tournaments, including the Fallen Empire and the Blood Nomad, have commenced. The Fallen Empire requires players to eliminate commandos within short intervals to earn ammo and medical supplies, whereas the Blood Nomad, a weekly challenge, offers players a chance to secure a new head cosmetic and a large supply drop by eliminating raiders.
