Marvel Studios have revealed their official teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder. In this trailer, Thor speaks about his past and how it was filled with violence and war. Now, he wants peace and to figure out who he is—starting with a training montage to become “ripped” Thor again.
Thor: Love and Thunder will follow Thor’s unplanned journey across the multiverse to find himself. Thor meets Peter Quill and the other Guardians of the Galaxy members in this teaser trailer. He says that he will choose his path and live in the moment rather than focusing on what the future could bring.
Now that he’s no longer a superhero, he’s going to do what makes him happy–whether it’s sailing boats or finding love–with the help and guidance of Star-Lord.
We only get a brief glimpse of Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson, now in charge of New Asgard, and a very short snippet featuring Zeus, played by Russell Crowe. The ending character reveal is an exciting addition to this teaser trailer.
A woman wearing a similar costume style to Thor while wielding Mjolnir appears, which we suspect is Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman. We don’t know what this could mean, but it’s clear that she has become “Thor.”
Fans love how Thor seems happy and content with his life and who he is becoming. The trailer is unique, with a different feel from what fans expected. One thing that we can all agree on is that the bar for this movie has been set very high.
Thor: Love and Thunder is directed by Taika Waititi, who also directed Thor: Ragnarok. He is a brilliant director who will help bring Thor’s much-needed character-driven story and development to life in a way that is both inspiring, comedic, and true to the Marvel multiverse.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in theaters on July 8, 2022. Be sure to check out our Latest News section for more great content!
